First sales gas delivered!

We’ve made the final connections to the pipeline, and the plant has produced its first green gas for sale! Thanks to everyone who helped us get this far!

Our fire protection contractor just put the finishing touches on our $1,000,000 sprinkler system. It’s fully tested and ready to operate. In the very unlikely event that anything catches on fire, the system is capable of pumping 2000 gallons per minute until the situation is under control. There are separate sprinkler heads positioned above every major compressor and component, just in case. Up to this point the capable members of Issaquah East Fire Department have kept a watchful eye on proceedings to ensure the safety of everyone on site.

Today was the first day that we started the entire plant and produced our first pipeline-quality gas. We’re still waiting on the final pipeline connection to the gate station, so the gas was simply flared on site. However, all measurements from our gas chromatograph showed that the gas was 100% ready to sell.

After months of waiting for the electrical interconnection to be completed, the day has finally arrived when we are fully connected and can now power up from the grid and begin our instrument and control testing. Much of the plant is still incomplete, but the equipment that is fully installed can now be tested.

All of the foundations for our large compressors are poured. The pads are all separated from the rest of the building concrete, and are 3ft (!) thick. This was done at the suggestion of our sound engineers to help ensure that as much noise and vibration was damped at the source by providing a large isolated mass directly coupled to the compressors.
